Blackpink member Jisoo and Camila Cabello surprised fans with an “amazing” performance of the Cuban singer’s track “Liar” Saturday night.
Cabello made a surprise appearance during the South Korean pop girl group’s concert at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles Saturday.
Jisoo, 27, and the 25-year-old Grammy-nominated musician shared the stage and performed “Liar,” which is from Cabello’s “Romance” album that peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2019, Billboard reported.
Jisoo has been performing “Liar” as a solo act on Blackpink’s ongoing “Born Pink” world tour, according to the outlet.
The pair’s performance immediately garnered praise on social media.
“Thanks for the best stage, Camila and Kim Jisoo. This will be [legendary] again [because you] know Kim Jisoo always [makes] plot [twists] and she always made some iconic things,” one Twitter user wrote alongside images of the pair hugging and a clip of the performance.
Another commented, “Jisoo of Blackpink singing ‘Liar’ with Camila Cabello is the most iconic thing this year.”
“They ate from left and right,” a third user said, while another praised the Blackpink member, saying, “I’m so DANG PROUD of her!! Jisoo always did a great job and she proved that she deserves to be where she is now! She is not only [a] beautiful face, heart and soul, but she is also talented!”
“Camila Cabello and Jisoo performing ‘Liar’ together at Blackpink’s tour omg the collapse,” a fifth Twitter user said, attaching a video of the collaboration.
For the performance, the “Havana” singer sported a custom “Born Pink” world tour outfit, and her hair was styled straight with blonde highlights.
The “Pink Venom” singer, on the other hand, donned a flowy bright red dress and paired it with black ankle boots.
Blackpink’s “Born Pink” world tour, supporting the girl group’s new album of the same name, began on Oct. 15 in South Korea with two days of sold-out shows at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul and will continue until next year.
Over the weekend, Blackpink, which also includes Lisa, Jennie and Rosé, concluded the North America leg of the tour with its Los Angeles shows. The singers have a one-week break before heading to their next stop in Europe, performing at the O2 Arena in London on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
