Disney World is facing backlash from its fans who are not happy with the current state of the theme park as many have complained about broken-down rides and unkept facilities amid an increase in ticket prices.
Recently, park attendees have taken to social media to criticize Disney World over their recent experiences at the park, according to the New York Post. Many blasted the entertainment company for their less than stellar visit to the park, which was wrought with rides that malfunctioned.

Disney World’s ticket prices have increased 3,871% in the last 50 years, rising to $109 for a day ticket and $104 for children under the age of 10, the Independent reported.
Back in August, several park attendees became stranded on the Disney World “It’s a Small World” ride for over an hour as the attraction broke down unexpectedly. Many of the ride’s participants took to TikTok to post about their frustration, which they dubbed “torture.”
Riders said they were stuck on the ride’s boast for about 45 minutes before help arrived, listening to the attraction’s theme song on repeat.
In another incident at the park that happened in July, riders had to be saved from a sinking car on Splash Mountain. Videos of the rescue were posted to social media.
Other Disney fans complained that no money is being put into improving the theme park, calling out CEO Bob Chapek for the cutbacks. Chapek took over for Bob Iger in 2020, just before the pandemic, when the park was shut down to prevent the spread of the virus.
Being closed for several months hurt Disney’s bottom line, prompting Chapek to raise prices on tickets, food, and merchandise, the Post said.
