Powerball Jackpot Grows To $186 Million

There were no big winners following the Wednesday night Powerball drawing worth an estimated $168.5 million and a cash value of $93 million.

The winning lottery numbers drawn on Wednesday, Sept. 7, were 3, 16, 30, 33, 36, with a red Powerball pull of 20. The Power Play was 3X.

Since the latest jackpot did not result in a grand prize-winning ticket, the next drawing will take place Saturday evening with the jackpot climbing to an estimated $186 million with a cash option of $102.6 million.

Along with there being no first-place winner for the Powerball drawing, none of the players became instant millionaires last night.

If a player hit the Match 5, they would have won $1 million. However, if the player would have matched five numbers with the Power Play purchase, they could have won a $2 million prize.

Despite the lack of millionaires, several players were able to win smaller monetary prizes. Six players hit the Match 4 plus the red Powerball, winning $50,000 apiece.

Meanwhile, none of the players matched four white-ball numbers and the red Powerball with a Power Play purchase, which would have put their winnings for the night at $150,000.

The rest of the prizes from the night ranged between $4 and $300. A total of 354,675 players took home prizes from the Wednesday night jackpot.

The latest drawing comes after a player in Louisiana won a $1 million prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Whitehall Grocery Hardware in Maurepas for the Labor Day drawing. The winner has until March 4, 2023, to claim their prize.

Powerball jackpot winners must match the six numbers on their ticket to the drawn six-number combination.

Five numbers must be selected from 1 to 69 for the white balls, and a number is selected from 1 to 26 for the red Powerball.

There is a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the Powerball jackpot. Powerball drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
