This is in addition to his current role as chief distribution officer of the business

[SINGAPORE] Eastspring Investments, the asset management business of Prudential, announced on Wednesday (Apr 30) that it appointed Salman Haider as head of Asean and chief executive of Eastspring Singapore, subject to regulatory approval.

This move broadens Haider’s role in the business, where he still serves as chief distribution officer. He has held this position since he joined Eastspring in March 2024, overseeing the firm’s global distribution business and the management of its Prudential Life relationships, along with responsibilities for its Japan and Americas markets.

In his expanded role covering Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, Haider will spearhead Eastspring’s growth strategy in Asean, with a focus on delivering client-centric solutions.

He will continue to report to Bill Maldonado, CEO of Eastspring Investments Group.

“Since joining us a year ago, Haider has demonstrated exceptional leadership and has been instrumental in deepening our relationships with clients,” said Maldonado.

With more than 25 years of experience across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Haider has worked in wealth management, retail banking, corporate banking and global markets. Prior to joining Eastspring, he spent 12 years at Citi and held senior management positions at JPMorgan, Barclays Private Bank and Habib Bank.
