Serena Williams’ Husband Wears Shirt Of Daughter Face

Fans of Serena Williams praised the tennis star’s husband Alexis Ohanian after he attended the U.S. Open on Friday wearing a t-shirt that showed the face of their 5-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia.

Ohanian arrived at Williams’ match against Australia player Ajla Tomljanovic wearing a black shirt that featured an image taken earlier in the week of Olympia’s face. The image was of the child excitedly showing support for her mother at the U.S. Open.

During and after the Friday match at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, Williams’ fans took to Twitter to praise the Reddit co-founder for his tribute to Olympia and dedication to his wife.

“If your partner doesn’t root for you the way Alexis Ohanian roots for Serena Williams, find someone better. I love their love,” one user posted.

Another user applauded Ohanian for proudly supporting Williams. “And special thanks to @alexisohanian for showing us what a loving, supportive partner looks like. He was by far Serena’s biggest hype man out on Ashe,” the user posted.

Praise of Ohanian’s Olympia-themed shirt comes after the entrepreneur shared a birthday tribute crediting his daughter for changing his life.

“I love you more every single day, you’ve made me a better man, and I’m so grateful your mama brought you into this world,” he posted on Instagram.

Earlier this month, Williams announced in the September issue of Vogue that she was planning to retire.

“I have never liked the word retirement. It doesn’t feel like a modern word to me. I’ve been thinking of this as a transition, but I want to be sensitive about how I use that word, which means something very specific and important to a community of people,” she told Vogue.

“Maybe the best word to describe what I’m up to is evolution. I’m here to tell you that I’m evolving away from tennis toward other things that are important to me.”

Along with quietly starting a venture capital firm, Williams revealed she also plans to grow her family.
