After trading in the red zone over the past few days, the dog-themed altcoin Shiba Inu traded in green and showed over a 7% increase in its price following the whale accumulation activity and after Shytoshi Kusama changed some details in their Twitter bio again.
SHIB traded at $0.000008692 in the early morning of Tuesday, but a few hours later, its price surged by more than 7% when it traded at $0.00000931.
Shiba Inu is a community-centered ecosystem, and while the industry experienced prolonged winter and bear market, the Shib Army initiated several activities to help the altcoin.
Massive token-burning activities have been conducted over the past few days aside from some Shiba Inu developers and influencers teasing about the imminent announcement of Shibarium documentation.
In addition to that, several Shib Armies noticed the pseudonymous lead developer Kusama changing their Twitter bio again. Over the weekend, their bio was changed to a dot or a period, but now it says, “on the 1st day…my true love gave to me…” which is a line from the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
An eagle-eyed Twitter user who goes by the name @ShibAlexander caught that the lead developer’s location is “close,” seemingly hinting at the possibility that a major announcement could happen very soon.
Some speculate that “close” could be hinting at the official announcement and launch of the Shiba Inu Layer-2 solution Shibarium.
A few users asked when the first day of Christmas would start, while others wanted to know what are the lead developers’ gifts for the twelve days of Christmas. Kusama, like always, did not provide any explanation and maintained their silence about anything related to the community’s upcoming projects.
Aside from this, the recent Shiba Inu price jump could be attributed to the whale accumulation, which lifted the spirits of SHIB hodlers.
Recent data from Etherscan revealed that a Shiba Inu whale accumulated a staggering 1.92 trillion SHIB worth around $17.7 million.
In the absence of an official announcement from the Shiba Inu development team about Shibarium, it is worth mentioning that the Shib Army’s comments are just speculations at this stage.
Shiba Inu has survived the cruel crypto market, but with the help of its community that believes in the crypto asset and the ecosystem, it fared well.
SHIB is slowly climbing back to higher levels, and as of 2:56 a.m. ET on Wednesday, it was trading up 4.57% at $0.000009153 with a 24-hour volume of $155,205,081, according to the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
