[SINGAPORE] The following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Friday (Jul 25):
OCBC: OCBC’s subsidiary Great Eastern announced on Thursday the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Great Eastern Labuan Company, in Labuan, Malaysia. The principal activities of the subsidiary will be to provide life insurance and life reinsurance services. A bourse filing stated that the incorporation of Great Eastern Labuan will be funded through internal resources and is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets or earnings per share of the Great Eastern group for the financial year ending Dec 31. The counter ended Thursday 0.4 per cent or S$0.06 higher at S$17.27, before the news.
Keppel DC Reit: The manager of the real estate investment trust (Reit) said on Friday that it posted a 12.8 per cent increase in distribution per unit (DPU) for its first half of the financial year ended Jun 30 of S$0.05133, from S$0.04549 in the same year-ago period. This was largely attributed to contributions from the acquisition of data centre buildings Keppel DC Singapore 7 and 8, Tokyo Data Centre 1, and contract renewals and escalations. The distribution will be paid on Sep 15, after the record date on Aug 4. Units of Keppel DC Reit closed 0.9 per cent or S$0.02 lower at S$2.26 on Thursday.
Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT): The manager said on Thursday that committed occupancy for its portfolio reached 99.9 per cent in the third quarter ended Jun 30. This marked a 0.2 percentage point growth year on year and 0.4 percentage point growth quarter on quarter. The manager also said its cost of debt improved at 3.7 per cent in Q3 2025. This was against 3.8 per cent in the preceding quarter, and 4.1 per cent in the corresponding period a year ago. Units of FCT closed Thursday at S$2.20, down 0.5 per cent or S$0.01, before the news.
Suntec Reit: The manager on Thursday posted DPU of S$0.03155 for the first half ended Jun 30. This was a 3.7 per cent rise from the same period a year prior, as the Reit’s distributable income rose 4.6 per cent to S$92.8 million, from S$88.7 million in H1 FY2024. The distribution will be paid on Aug 29, after the record date on Aug 1. Its units ended Thursday 0.9 per cent or S$0.01 higher at S$1.18, before the results were announced.
China Everbright Water: Environmental protection company China Everbright Water announced on Thursday the appointment of Xiong Jianping as chief executive and executive director. He succeeded Tao Junjie, who stepped down from both positions. The company also established a sustainability committee under the board of directors for environmental, social and governance (ESG) management, and to evaluate and recommend to the board on issues associated with the group’s sustainability and ESG performance. The counter ended Thursday flat at S$0.24, before the news.
Advanced Systems Automation (ASA): Its former CEO Seah Chong Hoe has claimed that cheques he issued from the company’s bank account to himself were to discharge outstanding salaries owed to him, ASA said on Thursday. The group previously lodged a police report against Seah for the unauthorised fund transfers. It added that it is currently reviewing the matter to determine if Seah’s claims are genuine and that the transfers do not have material impact on its financial position. The counter finished Thursday 14.3 per cent or S$0.001 higher at S$0.008, before the announcement.
