Super Bowl 2023 is scheduled to start in the early evening on east coast time, but TV coverage for the game starts well prior to kickoff. FOX will broadcast a 5.5-hour pregame show before the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday in Glendale, Arizona.
What time does Super Bowl 2023 start? The official start time is 6:30 p.m. ET from State Farm Stadium, though the game will actually kick off a few minutes later, in all likelihood.
Last year’s Super Bowl between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, for example, kicked off at around 6:35 p.m. ET. The game aired on NBC and Peacock.
Fox’s Super Bowl LVII Pregame Show is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET. Announcers Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen will be in the Fox broadcast booth when the game starts. Viewers can also watch Super Bowl 2023 on foxsports.com or with the Fox Sports app.
“Road to the Super Bowl” will air on Fox from noon ET to 1 p.m. ET. The show will take a look at the 2022 NFL season and what led to the Chiefs and Eagles meeting with the championship on the line.
The biggest sporting event of the year, Sunday’s Super Bowl is expected to be the most-watched TV event of 2023. It will be final meaningful NFL game for seven months.
The Chiefs are trying to win their second championship in four seasons. Kansas City has made three of the last four Super Bowls.
The Eagles last reached the Super Bowl five years ago when Philadelphia defeated the New England Patriots for the first and only Super Bowl title in franchise history.
