Tom Brady Teased As ‘Masked Singer’ Season 8 Contestant

“The Masked Singer” judge Ken Jeong guessed that Tom Brady might be behind the Hummingbird costume in a new teaser for the show’s upcoming Season 8.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the 42-year-old veteran comedian tried to uncover the crooning celebrity underneath the costume, claiming that the style and performance were “screaming out like a football legend.”

Jeong first thought of former football player Peyton Manning, but he quickly realized that it could also be the “greatest [football player] of all time,” referring to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback.

“He just got fined for not showing up to training camp because he is here on ‘The Masked Singer.’ This is seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady!” Jeong exclaimed.

The clip abruptly ended before the revelation, so fans were left with no choice but to tune in when the show premieres on Sept. 21. Fox Broadcasting Company always keeps the identities of the celebrity singers under wraps ahead of the season, according to TMZ.

Despite the “Community” star’s excitement, the 45-year-old football champ abruptly denied the rumors on Tuesday via Twitter, saying he was doing something else during his 11-day absence from the Buccaneers’ training camp.

“Wasn’t on ‘The Masked Singer’ last week. Was wearing a mask though,” the football star wrote while attaching an advertisement for his underwear brand, BRADY.

Fans immediately responded to Brady’s tweet. One social media user claimed that the denial only made her assume the possibility of the athlete being an undercover celebrity on “The Masked Singer” this season.

“The fact [that] he [addressed] ‘The Masked Singer’ rumors makes me think even more he is on ‘The Masked Singer,'” the user wrote.

Another commented, “‘Wasn’t on ‘The Masked Singer’ last week.’ [This] is something someone on ‘The Masked Singer’ would say.”

Brady reportedly took some time off from training starting Aug. 11 due to “personal reasons.” According to Tampa Bay head coach Tom Bowles, the absence “was something agreed upon” over weeks ago, and the team “supported Brady,” ESPN reported. Bowles also revealed it was unclear if Brady would be participating in the final preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts this week.

The seven-peat Superbowl champion returned to the training camp on Aug. 22, two days after “The Masked Singer” Season 8 ended filming.
