Vibroacoustix LLC announces the upcoming release of the Vibropod, an innovative addition to its line of vibroacoustic therapy devices (VAT). Designed in direct response to feedback from clinicians and wellness practitioners, the Vibropod is engineered for medical and therapeutic environments, including occupational therapy (OT), physical therapy (PT) clinics, ketamine clinics, rehab centers, hospitals, and alternative wellness spaces. The Vibropod will officially launch in November.
“With the Vibropod, we wanted to bridge the gap between immersive wellness experiences and clinical practicality,” says Louisa Firethorne, founder and CEO of Vibroacoustix. “Many practitioners loved the idea of high-powered, full body VAT but needed something that fit into an office, a clinic, or a hospital setting. The Vibropod is our answer.”
Vibroacoustix’s existing immersive VAT solution, the Sonosphere, delivers full-body VAT, layered with a spherical sound environment that surrounds users in vibration and overtone harmonics. While powerful and transformative, the Sonosphere’s open-air sound design and elevated entry can pose challenges in clinical settings.
The Vibropod introduces several new design innovations. Its lotus-shaped form sits lower to the ground, eliminating the need for stairs and making it accessible to patients with mobility limitations. Instead of an open-air sound system, the Vibropod offers a headphones-based experience, ensuring privacy and focus in busy clinical environments.
Underneath the vibrational platform, powerful transducers generate full-body resonance modes, driven at 6500 watt max, a significant increase from the Sonosphere’s 4500 watt max. It also features 13 transducers, compared to the Sonosphere’s 10, delivering deeper, more precise vibroacoustic therapy.
“Our motto has always been that sound is round,” Firethorne explains. “The circular sound beds we design aren’t just for aesthetic purposes. They create overtone harmonics, and reduce sound wave dampening, the same qualities that make a musical instrument come alive. The Vibropod is essentially built like a musical instrument, and when every cell in your body vibrates in perfect harmony, the results can be profound.”
Firethorne emphasized that accessibility was central to the new design. “The Sonosphere has been incredible for immersive environments, but many medical professionals informed us about the necessity for an easier device for patients, especially stroke survivors or those in physical rehabilitation, to use. The Vibropod eradicates those barriers. It’s built for the clinic, but it carries the same therapeutic depth as was found in the Sonosphere.”
Beyond accessibility, the Vibropod is thoughtfully designed for use in both individual therapy sessions and integration into broader therapeutic practices. Hypnotherapists, physical therapists, and alternative wellness practitioners can leverage the device alongside other modalities, enhancing the efficacy of combined treatment approaches.
“One of the most exciting aspects of VAT is how well it pairs with other treatments,” Firethorne adds. “A hypnotherapist can use the sound system to carry their voice through the body, a physical therapist can use it to support stroke recovery, a rehab center can offer it as a grounding tool during addiction recovery. It’s an adaptive therapeutic platform that can be customized to the practitioner’s goals.”
The Vibropod also reflects Vibroacoustix’s broader mission to scale VAT worldwide. “My mission is expanding accessibility of this technology to every city, and every state,” Firethorne says. “This technology is incredibly restorative, and once people experience it, they understand. It’s hard to put into words until you feel it, but when you do, you won’t want to get down. That’s the level of impact we’re working to make accessible for all.”
While Vibropod headlines this launch, Vibroacoustix is already planning for the future. The company is developing a 24-person group VAT solution, designed for large-scale therapeutic and wellness applications. Still in prototype funding stages, the group solution further signals Vibroacoustix’s strong commitment to expanding both clinical and communal applications of VAT, democratizing it to deliver holistic relaxation and measurable benefits.
“With the Vibropod, we’re aiming to give wellness providers a tool that can support deep relaxation, pain relief, and emotional balance in a way that’s never been possible before. This high-powered VAT technology is changing lives, and we’re only just beginning.”
