Warriors Emerge As Slight Favorites To Prevail Over Struggling Grizzlies

The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies are coming off losses and will be looking to return to their winning ways on Wednesday, January 25 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

The Warriors won in their previous meeting, 123-109, and oddsmakers see a potential repeat in the rematch.

Golden State bowed to the Brooklyn Nets, 116-120, no thanks to the late-game heroics of Royce O’Neale.

The Nets forward hit a key three-pointer with about 28.5 seconds to go to life Brooklyn past the Warriors.

“You give a team like that some life, they’re really good,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

The Grizzlies, on the other hand, are looking to check their three-game skid.

Their latest loss came at the hands of the Sacramento Kings, 100-133.

Desmond Bane led Memphis in that lopsided loss with 21 points, four rebounds, and five assists.

Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in 19 markers and five caroms in their losing effort.

“We have to focus on getting better and playing better against Golden State,” Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins stated. “Just continue to play hard and play together and just try and find a groove.”

The Grizzlies are averaging 117 points per game and own an offensive rating of 114.2.

Defensively, Memphis is giving up 112.4 points per contest and also carries a defensive rating of 109.6.

The Warriors are -2.5 favorites to come out victorious against the +2.5-graded Grizzlies.

Furthermore, the Moneyline for this matchup is -141 for Golden State and +120 for Memphis.
