Warriors Reviewing Fisticuffs Between Green, Poole In Practice

Draymond Green has been known to be high-spirited and someone who will push anyone to the limit.

However, there could be instances where the four-time All-Star may take it somewhere where tempers will flare.

Based on multiple reports, it seems that one did happen during the Warriors’ practice recently.

Green and Poole allegedly got into a chest-bumping incident that somehow escalated into something ugly.

In the end, the four-time NBA champion allegedly punched Poole according to the report of Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Beyond that, details remain scarce although the whole incident had to be broken up.

When scribes were allowed to enter, they spotted Poole taking some shots and even joking with some of his teammates.

It was not mentioned if Green was among the Warriors that Poole was joking with.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports claimed that Green was apologetic following the altercation with Poole.

However, he added that there was a noticeable change in the behavior of the 23-year-old guard throughout camp.

Poole is on the verge of possibly securing a lucrative deal, and it remains to be seen if this incident would factor into all that.

This was not the first time that tensions rose between Green and Poole.

There was a public flare-up that happened last season. Thankfully, the two cagers were able to talk things out.

Regardless of what really happened between Green and Poole, The Warriors’ management is reportedly looking into the incident.

In an insider report by C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle, the franchise remains optimistic that they can brush this aside before the season begins.

The incident comes not long after Green was hailed by Donte DiVincenzo, a free agent who signed with Golden State in July, for making an effort to nurture team chemistry this early when the team had its first scrimmage last month

“That’s all I’ve heard since I got here, and I witnessed it for the first day. It’s contagious, I would say. His positive energy correcting people, teaching people right away was great,” the 24-year-old shooting guard told reporters.
