“General Hospital” fans concerned about missing a new episode on Thanksgiving can focus on spending time with their families this year.
In light of the Thanksgiving holiday, ABC will not be airing new episodes of the long-running soap opera. Instead, fans who chose to watch “GH” on Thursday afternoon will see a rerun.
For Thanksgiving day, the “General Hospital” episode from Nov. 24, 2021, is scheduled to air on ABC.
Viewers will be transported back to a major event in Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) relationship and relive Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) unraveling baby swap.
Spoilers for the encore presentation reveal that Sam and Dante enjoy their first Thanksgiving as a couple, Curtis (Donnell Turner) opens up to Portia (Brook Kerr), Brook Lynn spins a new story for Ned (Wally Kurth), Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) tracks down Austin (Roger Howarth), and Finn (Michael Easton) learns surprising news from Chase (Josh Swickard).
Viewers who tune into the ABC soap on Friday during its original timeslot will catch some sports highlights and a college football game. The North Carolina Tar Heels are scheduled to play the NC State Wolfpack at 3:30 p.m. ET.
However, fans with the “GH” blues won’t have to wait too long before they see new episodes featuring their favorite characters.
When new episodes begin to air next week, viewers won’t see the residents of PC in the holiday spirit just yet.
“General Hospital” spoilers tease Scott (Kin Shriner) gets an unexpected call, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) and Mac (John J. York) seek Ava’s (Maura West) assistance, and Dante questions Heather (Alley Mills).
Elsewhere, Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) jumps to the wrong conclusion, and Holly (Emma Samms) makes a desperate move.
New episodes of “General Hospital” are scheduled to return on Monday, Nov. 28, at 3 p.m. ET on ABC.
