Apple sent invitations on 19 October 2026 to a product launch event on 28 October in Los Angeles. The event starts at 10 a.m. Pacific time and carries the tagline “Pro and tell”, according to Cult of Mac and MacRumors.

Apple has not said what it will show. Reports point to a touchscreen MacBook Pro and Macs with the M6 chip, though none of that is confirmed. As of 20 October, the product list is based on reports.

What Apple Has Confirmed

The confirmed details are the date, time and place. Apple’s media email, as quoted by Cult of Mac, invites recipients to “join us in person for a special Apple Experience in Los Angeles”. The invitation does not reveal an agenda.

Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing, posted on X, according to Cult of Mac: “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.”

The format differs from a traditional keynote. MacRumors reports that invited media get hands-on time in Los Angeles, while everyone else gets press releases. Cult of Mac says the company likely will announce products through online videos and press releases, with journalists and influencers invited to Los Angeles to try the devices in person. It says the invitation does not promise a conventional keynote or a live-streamed presentation.

The Apple Post said earlier that Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman had reported selected media being invited to a “product launch experience”. It added that earlier reports described creator events in Los Angeles around 27 and 28 October.

The Invitation
Apple’s “Pro and tell” experience is set for 28 October 2026 at 10 a.m. Pacific in Los Angeles. Cult of Mac reports that the invitation does not reveal an agenda.

What Is Expected but Unconfirmed

The headline product in reports is a touchscreen MacBook Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. MacRumors and Cult of Mac describe an OLED display, a lighter body and a Dynamic Island-style cutout in place of the notch. MacRumors also describes a reinforced hinge. Apple has not confirmed any of these features.

Reports also name an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro and a 24-inch iMac, both with the M6 chip. Cult of Mac notes that leaks do not point to a major iMac redesign.

An OLED iPad mini is also reported. The Apple Post lists an A20 Pro chip, a front camera moved to the landscape edge, a redesigned speaker system, better water resistance and a higher starting price.

Reports differ on the chip for the touchscreen model. MacRumors says the new models are going to use the same chips as the current version. Tom’s Guide, in a Yahoo report, says rumours have suggested both the current M5 Pro and M5 Max silicon or the newer M6 chip. Tom’s Guide refers to a rumoured “MacBook Ultra” name, while MacRumors says the “Pro and tell” tagline likely means the MacBook Pro branding will stay.

Prices and Timing Reported So Far

Apple has announced no prices. MacRumors says the iPad mini could cost about $200 more than the current $599 model because of the OLED display and water resistance. Cult of Mac says predictions put the MacBook Pro price above current models.

On timing, MacRumors says the new Macs and iPad could launch as soon as 6 November. It adds that if Apple follows its recent home-product pattern, pre-orders would begin on 28 October. Cult of Mac likewise expects pre-orders during the event and a launch about a week later. These are the outlets’ expectations, not Apple statements.

Apple has confirmed the date, time and city, but not a single product.

What to Watch Next

Apple has not confirmed touch input on a Mac, the chip in each model, the prices, or the pre-order and shipping dates.

Apple is expected to publish press releases on the day. MacRumors says they could come at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, and that 9 a.m. Eastern is also a possibility.
