OnlyFans model Weronika’s story time about her head “exploding” on a flight is making the rounds on the internet, and it unlocked a new fear among social media users.
During a flight back to the United Kingdom from Turkey, where she’d undergone “cat eye” surgery just hours before the plane ride, the blonde bombshell woke up from a nap to a lot of pain and heard an “audible pop” surge from her body.
Weronika explained in her now-viral video series on TikTok that she underwent canthoplasty, or cat eye surgery, just hours before she and her boyfriend boarded the plane.
The OnlyFans model claimed that her “cat” surgeon was rushing during her procedure as she was late to her eye appointment due to an unexpectedly lengthy post-operation checkup with another doctor who’d performed her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) a few weeks ago.
Weronika claimed that her cat eye surgeon forgot to provide her with documents indicating that she had medical clearance for air travel. Without the documents, the airport staff refused to let her on the flight until she had been checked by the onsite medical examiner, which cost an additional $100.
Eventually, Weronika, whose head was wrapped with bandages at the time, was given the green light by the airport physician to board the plane after finishing all the necessary requirements.
The model said she initially did not notice anything wrong on the plane until hearing that “pop.”
“The incision that popped is behind my ear, and it was actually quite loud,” Weronika said.
“Immediately after, I start feeling this hot liquid dripping down my neck…obviously it was blood,” she shared, adding that the stream also contained a yellowish fluid that was “gross” and “smells so bad.”
Weronika revealed that the surgeon who did her canthoplasty had placed a fluid drain right behind her ear. But the liquids apparently had not been completely voided by the time she boarded the plane, which caused her skin to swell and led to the ripping of the nylon stitches in the back of her head.
She believed that the “pressure” in the airplane cabin also contributed to the incident.
“When it popped, all the fluid gushed out all in one go,” Weronika said.
The model and her boyfriend tried to stop the bleeding with tissues. They decided to keep the bandages and tissues wrapped around her head for the rest of the flight, with a plan to assess how bad the situation was upon their arrival.
“I was in so much pain for the rest of the flight,” she confessed. “It felt so hot and all that liquid was draining into this tissue. It was honestly disgusting.”
The model said that she has no plans of suing the doctors or the airport company because “no one did anything wrong” and it was an unexpected incident.
Upon the model’s arrival in the U.K., she immediately called her surgeon and sent pictures of the hole that had popped behind her head. The doctor advised her to continue applying her prescribed antibiotics cream to the area instead of seeking medical attention for restitching.
But the hole soon became infected. “It was oozing this yellow, viscous liquid and it literally stank. It was so gross,” she said, before adding that her boyfriend “pressed” iodine into the area, hoping that the disinfectant would help.
“But it popped again, and stuff came out,” she laughed. “It was so gross.”
Social media users took to the comments of the viral video series, which has accumulated over 10 million views combined as of writing, to wish the model a speedy recovery and praise her for being “brave.”
“I’m so sorry that happened to you! But I’m glad you’re ok and healing now,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “[You’re] so brave, that’s so traumatic.”
“I’m so sorry this happened to you! Speedy recovery,” a third user said.
