“vishalmehtaLIVE”, The Band from New Delhi, having Basudhara on Vocals and Vishal on Drums, Deepak on Bass and Sunny on Guitars has two released Albums and 1 single under the label vishalmehtamusic.
Currently Band released two originals LIVE version of the songs on all the platform like Spotify music Apple music including many others and the video on YouTube VEVO from his last released albums Only You and Alone, performed at Zildjian and Roland Drum clinic 2023 held at Raj musicals, New Delhi.
The name of the songs known to people are Teri Yaadon Mein and Koshish from the albums which we did perform and has been received well by the people performed by Basudhara, our new vocalist.
Band Says, it’s really a challenge to perform live, as the production of the songs are quite high to perform in a very similar manner but I would say it’s so welcoming and exciting to play these songs live because it really reminds and brings back all the memories we had it while recording and the best part is to play these songs Live with someone (Basudhara) who believes in you and your work when working together. Though there were so many ups and downs, sleepless nights, agreements, disagreements, when we were recording on our last albums. Would like to also mention that we had a really amazing time recording both the albums with our last two singers Bharti gupta and Nilanjana for vishalmehtaLIVE. (It’s always good to credit people who you worked with, band always believe)
As we have to talk all about “vishalmehtaLIVE”, Band faced many other challenges, the one is all about being in the scene and struggled with maintaining singers, musicians, artists for the show. Because, now a days you know the scene is like, the musicians always wanted to play sessions and everybody wants to have there own name and fame but that is completely fine, that’s very important also, but the actual problem arises for the band to face is, managing the musicians for the shows, sometimes day before or a week before, finding rehearsals time with them and finishing them off to have a good show but it also brings lot of anxiety, stress between the band members to make sure the show goes well. This is one very very major problem in our music industry but have to deal with it and later realised it’s a part and parcel of the work.
Basudhara who joined Band very recently, took the responsibility on her shoulders about the work band is doing, is young, very talented performer and very determined. Currently she is pursuing MA in Hindustani classical music from the University of Delhi. She has been learning music since the age of 4. She is All India Radio’s graded artist and a regular performer and performs all over. She is currently The lead vocalist of the band – Vishal Mehta Live.
Currently, the Band is busy recording Covers, New Singles and the third upcoming album.
